The Puerto Princesa City Council approved the increase of incentives for the barangay health frontliners of 66 barangays in the city during the Regular Session on September 24, 2021.

During the regular session held at the Mini City Hall in Brgy. San Rafael, the legislative body discussed the letter from the Office of the City Mayor requesting an increase in the incentives of health workers in the barangays. From either P1,000 or 1,5000 each per month, it sought to make it P5,000.

City Councilor Elgin Damasco moved for the approval of the resolution and the supplemental budget was supported by the majority of the councilors. The supplemental budget of P11 million was passed.

He further asked that City Budget Officer Regina Cantillo add an allocation for this increased incentive to the proposed annual budget for 2022.

The said increased amount of incentives for the barangay health frontliners will be disbursed starting next month.
