The City Health Office (CHO) said Friday evening that eight individuals tested negative for COVID-19 out of the total nine who underwent RT-PCR GeneXpert test on June 25.

“Kanina hindi natin na-report ‘yong all na sinwab natin. So i-report lang po namin na kahapon po  noong June 25 nagkaroon po kami ng swab test, ito po ay para sa RT-PCR GeneXpert COVID-19 testing,” said Dr. Dean Palanca, CHO Assistant Officer and Incident Commander for City Task Force for COVID-19.

Dr. Palanca said a total of nine persons are comprised of 7 locally stranded individuals (LSIs), of whom two are those have direct contact with city’s COVID-19 patient no. 3; one who tested reactive for rapid diagnostic test (RDT); and four who earlier showed symptoms such as cough and colds.

On the other hand, Palanca said the remaining two individuals who underwent RT-PCR test are one medical personnel and one Barangay Santa Monica resident who was confirmed positive for COVID-19.

He said the patient who tested positive is a 27-year-old female from Bgy. Sta. Monica.

“Siya ay isa sa mga ni-refer po sa amin para ma-examine namin,” he said.

Palanca also said Friday evening that more swab tests are going to be conducted to those who have direct contact with the patient.
