The City Government of Puerto Princesa inaugurated two infrastructure projects in Barangay Tagabinet on March 3, 2020, including the P19-million RCDG bridge which the city considers as the first locally-funded concrete bridge.
City Mayor Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron announced this week during the flag ceremony that the bridge in Nasuduan is the first concrete bridge funded by the city government. He also said that his administration will bring more development projects in the different barangays of this city, making more upland barangays and sitios more easily accessible, which significantly contributes to the social and economic well-being of the residents.
Another project inaugurated this week is the concreting of P2.8-million access road concreting from Barangay Tagabinet to Ugong Rock, a tourism destination in the city.

Last week, the officers and personnel of mini-city hall in Barangay Macarascas led by former City Councilor Modesto “Jonjie” Rodriguez II visited two isolated barangays of Marufinas and New Panggangan. Rodriguez was appointed by Mayor Bayron to manage the operations of the mini city hall.
These villages were accessible via 30-45 minutes ride onboard motorized boats from Sabang wharf in Barangay Cabayugan.
He said that they visited the two barangays for the release of allowances and financial assistance for senior citizens, person with disabilities (PWD), barangay tanod and solo parents, dispensing of medicines, nutrifood and vitamins, distribution of planting materials and registration to crop insurance, and registration of banca and motorized boats.
“Isla ng Marufinas at New Panggangan, aming binisita upang maghatid ng allowances ng mga senior citizens, PWDs at bgy tanod na isa sa mga mapag kalingang programa ni Mayor Cecil Rodriguez Bayron,” Rodriguez said in his social media post recently.
