Pinasalamatan ni Board Member Ryan D. Maminta ang National Headquarters ng Philippine Coast Guard sa pamumuno ni Commandant Admiral George V. Ursabia matapos pumayag na itayo ang PCG Academy sa Bgy Apurawan sa bayan Aborlan, Palawan.

“We would like to express our gratitude also to the Philippine Coast Guard for choosing the province of Palawan particulary Barangay Apurawan in the Municipality of Aborlan as its location for the establishment of this [Philippine Coast Guard] academy” ani BM Maminta.

“The PCG Academy Steering Committee and Technical Working Group, the working arm of PCG in establishment of PCG Academy, had a series of meetings to arrive with an objective and judicious decision for the location of said institution. Based on thorough discussion/brain storming and careful deliberation, the committee found out that Aborlan, Palawan is deemed to be more feasible, sustainable, and acceptable location interms of both physical and strategic location of the envisioned site for the PCG Academy” ani Admiral Ursabia sa liham.

“The Philippine Coast Guard given credence to the parameters and qualifiers as to the measurement of feasibility, suitability and acceptability of the location.
