Fifteen lovely candidates competed for the Ms. Puerto Princesa 2019 title on Sunday at Puerto Princesa City Coliseum. All of them has a combined beauty of intelligence, wit, sexiness, and appearance but only one was chosen and was crowned as the Ms. Puerto Princesa 2019.
Candidate No. 8 Philline Louisse Ivy Dimla, 21-year-old of Barangay Tagumpay, wins the prestigious title of being the Ms. Puerto Princesa 2019 as she showcased her dedication and determination during the whole duration of the pageant.
The question for the top 3 finalists during the event was the same and it stated, “What do you think is the biggest challenge that a woman can ever experience and how can you recover from it?”
Dimla responded that it is by competing with all the other ladies during that night because she needed to prove that she’s more dedicated and passionate than the others.
“I guess the biggest challenge that a woman can face is to compete with other beautiful ladies tonight, because we all know that we are all beautiful and intelligent, but we have to prove that I am more dedicated and sincere and passionate with what I do and I am more prepared and willing to do what it takes, and equipped to be the next Ms. Puerto Princesa 2019, and that would be all. Thank you,” Dimla’s winning answer.
Moreover, the Ms. Puerto Princesa 2019 runner-ups were Jennifer Linda, 1st runner-up and Arjane Cafugauan, 2nd runner-up.
Dimla bagged the two major awards which were the Best in Talent and Best in Swimsuit. Other than that, she also bagged four sponsors award which were the following: Ms. Grace Fashion, Ms. South Sea Pearl, Ms. Freeing Palawan, and Ms. Astoria Palawan.
Dimla had been joining pageantry and had competed to a total of 8 pageants. She was also the Mutya ng Palawan 2017 1st runner-up.
Furthermore, the pageant aimed to showcase the combined beauty of looks and intelligence of the women in Puerto Princesa. The search for Ms. Puerto Princesa 2019 was part of the celebration of the 147th founding anniversary of the city of Puerto Princesa and in celebration of the 15th Balayong Festival.
