The Puerto Princesa City Crime Laboratory Office (PPCCLO) inaugurated its new forensic laboratory located on the third floor of the City Coliseum.
The event marks a significant milestone in the fight against criminality in the city. PPCLO Deputy Chief Police Major Rafael B. Roxas Jr. said that the facility will provide quality services and accelerate and facilitate the process of investigation of cases in the city as it will focused in this area unlike before when they also take in cases from the municipalities.
“Having our own crime lab office in PPC ay mas magiging focused kame sa city unlike before na nagkakasabay ang mga cases sa province, syempre ang magiging outcome nito is mas mapapa bilis ang process ng investigation and mas makakpag-provide kame ng quality service.”
PPCLO Deputy Chief Police Major Rafael B. Roxas Jr. also expressed his gratefulness towards the city government for accommodating their initiative and turn it into tangible things by supporting them and for providing all of the office equipment.
“And through this improvement, we can now attain our vision of a professional, dynamic and motivated forensic service providing quality scientific investigation and working in partnership with the responsive pillars of criminal justice system towards the attainment of equality and justice,” Police Major Roxas added.
The establishment of the forensic lab in the city is in consonance with NAPOLCOM Resolution No. 2018-81 dated June 26, 2018 that approves the restructuring and strengthening of PNP Crime Laboratory Office.
