Ipapatawag sa Committee Meeting ng Committee on Tourism ang iba’t ibang opisinang may kaugnayan sa paghahanda sa pagbubukas ng turismo sa lalawigan ng Palawan.
Sa regular na session sa Sangguniang Panlalawigan noong Martes, November 10, 2020, nais ni 1st District Board Member Cherry Pie Acosta na imbitahan ang Tourism Officer sa bayan ng El Nido kasama ang Inter-Agency Task Force.
“Itong mga darating na buwan, pabukas na po ang turismo dito sa lalawigan ng Palawan at especially doon po sa bayan ng El Nido. Nais po ng inyong abang likod at ng ating mga kasamahan na-iinvite ang ating tourism officer upang i-update po tayo sa mga pangyayari doon and the same time, I would like to invite also the Inter-Agency Task Force for us to be there during the committee meeting on tourism,” ani BM Acosta sa kaniyang privilege speech.
Sinegundahan naman ito ni 2nd District Board Member Cesareo Benedito, Jr. at ipinahiwatig ang hiling na imbitahan rin ang Provincial Tourism Officer kaugnay sa recovery plan para sa mga naapektuhan sa sekto ng turismo.
“In addition to the statement [by] Honorable Acosta, I support the said statement but we will also include the Provincial Tourism Officer. As I recall, we approved a resolution requesting the Provincial Tourism to submit the recovery plans regarding to the tourism sector in the effect of this COVID-19. In that resolution, as I remember also, we have to adopt the said recovery plan if they’re going to submit it to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for adoption,” saad ni BM Benedito, Jr.
Samantala, inaprubahan naman sa Sangguiang Panlalawigan ang nasabing kahilingan.
