“For this March we have two maiden calls. Mga first timers yun kaya maganda ang pasok ng 2019,” Amurao said.

Amurao emphasized majority of the cruise ships make their port calls in the Philippines making their way to Puerto Princesa even after Boracay re-opened.

“I was informed na bumalik na din sa Boracay. Pinakamarami pa rin yung nasa atin, majority of the cruise ships na nag port of call dito sa Philippines talagang dumadaan dito sa Puerto Princesa. Hindi naman lahat pero majority,” she added.

Amurao called the attention of all their partners and concerned government agencies that the majority of the tourists are Senior Citizens and Persons with Disability (PWDs) and they should make their facilities and destinations friendly to them.

“Nanawagan ako sa lahat ng partners natin even sa mga government agencies concerned. Nakita naman natin majority of our tourists are seniors and PWDs, siguro this is the time for us to really prepare yung ating mga facilities, ating mga roads, yung ating mga destinations. Dapat PWD friendly or Senior Citizen friendly para mas maganda yung experience ng mga tourists natin,” Amurao said.
