City Tourism Department Head Aileen Cynthia Amurao said that there were around 567 passengers on composed of 377 tourists and 190 crew members.

Silver Shadow is the 4th cruise ship that docked at the city since the year 2019 entered and there are 10 more cruise ships that are expected to dock at the Puerto Princesa City Port this year.

“Inaasahan natin na may 10 pang darating out of 14 na nairecord natin o nakaregister na magport dito kaya mayroon pa tayong sampu at patuloy ang pagdagdag nito,” she said.

Amurao also pointed out that they are doing their best to enhance the market of the local products of the city so that more locals will benefit from it.

She also asked for the cooperation and support of all the locals of the city to take part in promoting the tourism of Puerto Princesa.

Moss Hills, Silver Shadow Cruise Ship Director, said, “Puerto Princesa is really a special area, beautiful beaches, the people are fantastic, every time we come here, guests always come back on board and they say wow the people, the atmosphere, they tell us everything is so nice. I think we come back here next year and maybe we might try to come here more often because it is a lovely place.”

Silver Shadow Cruise Ship left Puerto Princesa about 5:00 P.M. January 26 and will sail to Busuanga Island, Coron, Palawan. The voyage will finish its tour in Hong Kong. — with reports of Ma. Snyrah Pascua.
