Western Command designates new commander

Western Command of the Armed Forces designated a new commander following the Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony at Wescom Lawak Gym Headquarters on Friday, January 21.

Armed Forces of the Philippines’ (AFP) Western Command designated Rear Admiral Alberto Carlos of the Philippine Navy as the 35th Commander of the Western Command. He replaced Vice Admiral Ramil Roberto Enriquez who will soon retire from military service.

The said turn-over ceremony was spearheaded by Armed Forces of the Philippines chief General Andres Centino PA.

The new commander assured to continue efforts on dismantling all terrorist in Puerto Princesa City and the province of Palawan.

Carlos vowed to fulfill his duties in his area of responsibility in line with his personal doctrine;

“Mission first; Men always; All our actions, programs and activities here in Wescom shall center on promoting the interests of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and a culture of competence and a shipshape lifestyle will be the order of the day at all times.”
