GUHIT Pinas – Palawan marks 7th Anniversary with ‘Bukang Liwayway’

The Guild for Upholding and Harnessing Indispensable Talents (GUHIT) Pinas Palawan Chapter celebrates its 7th anniversary through a Group Art Exhibition entitled, “Bukang Liwayway,” an exhibit for a cause for the victims of typhoon Odette.

Fifteen 15 young emerging local artists from the different municipalities of Palawan will participate and showcase their artwork.

The exhibit will run from January 31 to February 28, 2022, at the Palawan Heritage Art Gallery with guest speaker Mr. Jonathan Benitez. This event is in partnership with Kiwanis Club International Damayan ng Agila.

The participating Palawenyo artists are: Rudy R. Ebajo, Kazzandra E. Padua, Dennis T. Rocero, Frenie Jay Ballena, Mia Duane Almorfe, Alma Collen P. Dolor, Ralph G. Graspela, Jovelle Mae S. Elicanal, Jhon Lex N. Ammong, Shinkin Paduga Beguina, Jay Recañas Tabulod, Vincent Magbanua, Jc Enon, Mark Belmonte, Arjen Abubakar, Jethro Mike Guinto, and Leonard Ansiong.

The GUHIT Pinas envisions a healthy, dynamic, and purposeful community of Filipino visual artists who use art to promote the welfare of humankind and to initiate progress.

“Sakuna, bagyo at pandemya, ilan sa mga hinarap natin bago ang taong ito. Maraming buhay ang nawala, maraming ari-arian ang nasira. Sa lahat ng mga hamong ito, ang 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 ay patuloy pa ding nag-aalab sa bawat puso ng kaniyang mga alagad. Patuloy na umaasa sa 𝘽𝙪𝙠𝙖𝙣𝙜-𝙡𝙞𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙬𝙖𝙮 na ang bawat unang anyo ng liwanag sa kalangitan bago ang pagsikat ng araw ay panibagong pag-asa,” said Leonard Ansiong, President of GUHIT Pinas Palawan Chapter.
