Relief goods and food packs worth ten thousand pesos were shared to 80 families in Barangay Poblacion, Araceli, Palawan last week, January 13.

Araceli is one of the several municipalities in Palawan that was hardly hit by Typhoon Odette. Almost 95% of the island municipality was affected. For several weeks they lost network signal including supply of electricity. As of the press time, these had already been restored.

“Taos puso po kaming nagpapasalamat sa tulong po ninyo, kasama ang mga barangay officials ng Barangay Poblacion, sa tulong ng Palawan Daily News,” said Joaquin A. Arzaga, Barangay Captain of Poblacion, Araceli, Palawan.

“We hope that with this little contribution, we could be able to provide extra support to the community. We thank our partners and our readers who had been supporting us from the very beginning. Through you we could be able to continue with our mission to provide you with the latest news updates in our community,” said Arch. Kent Janaban, publisher of Palawan Daily and CEO of Petrosphere Incorporated.
