Puerto Princesa City – Three years since the coronavirus outbreak, the Best Western Plus Ivywall Hotel, located in the heart uptown of this city, has officially reopened its doors to the public today, Wednesday, March 29.

The reopening ceremony was kicked off with a mass officiated by Fr. Eugene Elivera.

Invited guests include Palawan III District Congressman Edward Hagedorn, Palawan Governor Victorino Dennis Socrates, City Mayor Lucilo Bayron, and Engineer Danilo Tamayo, who all gave short messages before the ribbon cutting activity.

The contemporary-style hotel has 120 guest rooms and first opened in June 2016.

The name “Ivywall” comes from a local plant in Palawan that commemorates Dataland Corporation’s first hotel project.

The 4-star hotel was also awarded as the “Best Performing Hotel in Palawan” in 2018.

The hotel has its own business center, spa, an adequately sized fitness center, and a pool on the second floor. It houses one of the island’s biggest ballrooms, which can comfortably accommodate 250 people. It also has a bar that is open until late at night.
