On July 17 and 18, 2019, SM Foundation, Inc. (SMFI) is set to hold a free medical-dental and diagnostics mission at the 2nd level of SM City Puerto Princesa near Sports Central.
SM Foundation will offer free ECG, random blood sugar screening, blood pressure monitoring, medical consultation, dental services, and free medicines to patients from 8AM to 3PM of the said schedules.
“SM Foundation’s programs continue to grow each year in magnitude and in reach,” Connie Angeles, SM Foundation Executive Director for Health said.
According to Miss Angeles, the SM Foundation will continue to bring quality and accessible health service to even more communities nationwide.
Through its medical mission program called Gamot Para sa Kapwa, SM Foundation provides free, comprehensive, accessible and quality medical and dental care as part of its health and wellness programs targeting marginalized members of society with the goal of creating sustainable communities.
“This initiative is a collaborative effort of SM and various government agencies and civic organizations. It’s truly a by-the-people-for-the-people mission,” said Maidja Saliente, mall manager of SM City Puerto Princesa.
This year’s medical-dental mission in Puerto Princesa is in partnership with the City Government of Puerto Princesa thru the City Health Office, Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development, the AFP Western Command, Philippine Red Cross – Palawan Chapter, GMA Kapwa Ko Mahal Ko, Watsons, and JCI Puerto Princesa Oil.
For SM Foundation, caring for the sick and the less fortunate has gone beyond traditional. It means promoting the total wellbeing of individuals by providing them basic health services and most of all, encouraging them to have a positive outlook despite life’s many challenges.
