The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command have launched the Combined Coordination Center (CCC) at Camp Aguinaldo, aimed at enhancing the Philippines-United States partnership in Command and Control for military operations.

The ceremony was attended by U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III, Philippine Secretary of National Defense Gilberto C. Teodoro, and AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr.

The CCC will serve as a hub for coordination, interoperability, capacity-building, and modernization under the Mutual Defense Board Concept Plan.
According to General Brawner, the CCC will be a foundation for addressing challenges such as disasters and maritime security.

“This center will allow us to further enhance our capabilities as a joint force. It will serve as the foundation of our training, planning, and response to various challenges—from disasters to maritime security,” Brawner stated.

Meanwhile, Secretary Austin emphasized the importance of the CCC in facilitating rapid information exchange and maintaining peace in the Indo-Pacific region.
“This facility will enable the swift exchange of information to ensure a clear and unified operational perspective. It will also stand as a symbol of our strong alliance, ready to face any challenges in the Indo-Pacific region,” Austin said.

The CCC is seen as a symbol of the robust alliance between the Philippines and the United States amidst the challenges in the region.
