The Commission on Elections announced Saturday, April 25 the extension of the suspension of voter’s registration and other related registration activities in the country until June 30 after President Rodrigo Duterte orders to extend the enhanced community quarantine in some areas for another 15 days.

In a Memorandum released by Comelec signed by Consuelo Diola, Acting Comelec Secretary dated April 24, 2020, states that after due deliberations, the Comelec En Banc approved the said recommendation.

The suspension will be effective nationwide including Comelec offices and satellite registrations sites as the movement of its people is limited and with restrictions due to ECQ which is also extended in some areas with high cases of COVID-19.
