What does it take to become a “public servant?”

I simply answered, Mayor Gerandy Danao! He serves the public properly with biases only to his constituents welfare. He is a public servant and not a “public official” whose biases lies on its title and own good instead of the public’s. Because of this, Mayor Danao has been considered a threat to the rest of the “public officials” around him.

Thus the threat, the attacks, the humiliation and the betrayal including the suspension until the end of his term. Who might benefit from this? Nonetheless, the former public officials. Probably from Dimaala clan and the pro –Jose Pepito Alvarez minions!

What’a worse is the trapos win and Palawenos continue to bear the burden…burden from these “public officials”

To “public officials” who voted against Danao, you betrayed your own constituents. You deprived them to have a leader who heeds their voices, that you,to yourself as public officials, don’t have, and will never be as popular, loved and respected like Mayor Gerandy Danao.

You are all accountable to your actions and be ready for the voters “revenge” this coming election. ___ Media workers’ rights, are everyone’s right.

The National Union of Journalists of the Philippines hails the victory of 30 cameramen and assistant cameramen who the Supreme Court ordered GMA Network to reinstate with full backwages, allowances and other benefits from 2013, when they were illegally dismissed, to the time of their actual reinstatement.

The 3rd Division decision penned by Justice Marvic Leonen stressed that the complainants are employees and not independent contractors hired because of unique skills, talent or celebrity status. “Employees who perform functions which are necessary and desirable to the usual business and trade of the employer attain regular status from the time of engagement,” the ruling said.

We thank the 3rd Division for recognizing and upholding the rights of media workers, far too many of whom continue to be deprived of the benefits of regularization.

We call on all media houses to look to the welfare of their employees and fully recognize their rights and privileges.
