Calmia Nickel strengthens support for education through Brigada Eskwela

Linao Elementary School in Brookes Point, Palawan recognized the active participation and assistance of Calmia Nickel, Inc. in Brigada Eskwela activities aimed at preparing the school for returning students for School Year 2026-2027.

Calmia joined the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela 2026 program, helping clean and improve facilities at the school in Barangay Ipilan. The company also provided materials used during the preparation activities ahead of the resumption of classes.

School officials, led by Head Teacher Rey L. Castro, acknowledged the company’s contribution during a short program held on June 8, the opening day of classes. The recognition highlighted the role of community stakeholders, including Calmia Nickel, in supporting public schools through volunteer efforts and resource assistance.

The company said it remains committed to working with its host and partner communities on initiatives that help improve the education sector and lead to a sustainable development where everyone benefits and general welfare and care for the environment is ensured.
