The San Vicente Municipal Government conducted an orientation regarding the Data Privacy Act and Government Email (GovMail) System for the barangay employees yesterday, September 1, at the MLGU Complex.
The orientation was conducted to promote compliance with it by all local governments. As well as to share the role of its employees in gathering data and information from the public per contents and provisions of Republic Act No. 10173 or “Data Privacy Act”. It was attended by secretaries, treasurers and registration agents from ten barangays throughout the said municipality.
And to modernize the communication system, the orientation also included references to the GovMail System.
The People’s Government through the Information Technology Section provided official email accounts for the ten barangays.
Recently, selected local government employees have also undergone a similar orientation.
