At least 545 beneficiaries coming from different towns in Palawan have received burial assistance in the first quarter of 2022 through PAG-ASA Program which is under the Community Affairs Division (CAD) of the Palawan Provincial Government.
The burial assistance comes with free embalming which helped the burden of at least 462 beneficiaries, free caskets given to at least 501 dead beneficiaries, and free transportation to get their dead loved ones home to their respective barangays.
Rolando B. Buñi, head of CAD and Program Manager of PAG-ASA Program, aside from the CAD Office located in the Provincial Capitol they also have ten operation centers of PAG-ASA Program with Rescue 165 headed by Richristopher Magbanua located in the towns of Aborlan, Narra, Quezon, Brookes Point, Roxas, Taytay at Dumaran habang sa mga bayan naman ng El Nido, Rizal and Sofronio Española.
CAD has also been tying up with Local Government Units (LGUs) to continually provide services and assistance to those who are in need of an ambulance for emergencies for their patients.
The PAG-ASA Program has been created through an Executive Order approved by Palawan Governor Jose Chaves Alvarez on February 2014.
