Palawan Councilors’ League (PCL) President and Narra mayoral aspirant BM Clarito “Prince” Demaala IV donated over P1 million in personal funds for the rehabilitation projects of various local roads damaged by Typhoon Maring last October in the said town.
The donation is being used for diesel, labor fee and payment for gravel expenses.
In an email report sent to Palawan Daily, the operation has been running for three weeks as of press time and the mayoral bet targets to finish all road rehabs within the next week.
The report stated that municipal roads within barangay Poblacion, Antipuluan, Burirao, Panacan 1 and 2, Caguisan, Malinao and Aramaywan have been improved through the help of the mayoral candidate’s personal heavy equipment.
According to Pinky Palm Buenviaje, PR Officer of Demaala, a survey team has been checking road areas which were overly damaged by typhoon Maring recently.
“May mga requests po, we take it day by day, may survey team din kasi kung okay na ba sa lugar or need pa follow+up ng mini dump truck, kaya wala pong solid itinerary yung dumping, pero hopefully by next week after ma-scan matapos na din po,” Buenviaje said.
