El Nido scraps negative antigen result for local tourists

The Municipality of El Nido exempts negative antigen result for local tourists from the island province as it entered the General Enhance Community Quarantine on October 28.

According to their new policy, included in the exemption are those who are fully vaccinated APORs with vaccinated card, residents of the town who returned within 72-hours after leaving, and tourists from Palawan.

Fully inoculated van drivers and passengers are also included with the condition of showing a negative RAT result every 7 days.

The guidelines were released recently and will be in effect until November 15, 2021.

Based on the Joint Resolution No. 93 s. 2021 of the MIMAROPA AITF and RTF against COVID-19, other travelers from different municipalities and Puerto Princesa City will need to present a negative RAT upon entry except from the ones listed above.

The LGU also shared prohibited activities such as social gatherings and entertainment venues, 50% dine-in capacity only, 30% religious gatherings capacity, curfew hours from 10:00PM to 5:00AM, and all accommodations operating shall post on their premises their local COVID-19 and vaccination update frequently.

As of October 31, 167 cases from El Nido were recorded by the PECU. 11 are currently active cases, 154 have recovered and 2 deaths.
