The local government of Narra through its acting municipal mayor Crispin Lumba Jr. released an executive order announcing the approval of limited tourism activities in the town.
Based on the published executive order, tourism activities such as mountaineering at Mt. Victoria and overnight stays at accommodations, resorts and inns are now allowed but under strict observance of health protocols derived from the guidelines issued by the Inter Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease (IATF-MEID) with 50% operational capacity only.
Tourism activities as mentioned shall be managed with the “Tourism Bubble Concept,” according to the measure. The tourism bubble concept as elaborated in the executive order, explains that residents of municipalities under mainland Palawan arenow allowed entry to the municipality of Narra either for work or pleasure on a pre-booking system wherein the travelers will declare their itinerary for the whole duration of their stay prior to their arrival to record and track all inbound and outbound travelers in the town.
Property owners of resorts, cafes, bars, restaurants and other accommodations in the town shall ensure that all operational related certificates and permits are properly secured and shall only be allowed operation on a skeletal workforce. Observance of minimum public health standards in each of their respective establishments such as wearing of face masks and face shields by all guests and staff, installation of plastic barriers in the reception area and wearing of gloves by food servers or waiters shall also be complied.
