Pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Sining sa Palawan, nagtapos na

Pormal nang nagtapos ang isang buwang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Sining sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa noong Huwebes, Pebrero 28, sa bulwagan ng Puerto Princesa Coliseum.

Pinangunahan ang pagdiriwang ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Palawan, Pamahalaang Panlungsod ng Puerto Princesa katuwang ang Phillipine Folk Dance Society (PFDS)–Palawan Chapter at National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

Ito ay bahagi ng pakiisa ng lalawigan sa taunang selebrasyon sa bansa na itinataguyod ng National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) alinsunod sa Presidential Proclamation No. 693 mula pa noong 1991, kung saan itinalaga ang buwan ng Pebrero bawat taon bilang National Arts Month.

Ang naging titulo ng pagdiriwang ngayong taon ng Buwan ng sining ay “BATINGAW: Tanghalang Himig at Sayaw,” na naglayong tipunin ang mga alagad ng sining sa lalawigan upang mapaglinang at mapanatili ang mayamang kultura at sining ng bansa sa pamamagitan ng pagtatanghal at sining biswal.

Itinampok sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Sining ang galing sa pag awit ng mga grupo ng mang-aawit o mga chorale groups mula sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa na kinabibilangan ng Capitol Chorale, Puerto Princesa City Choir, Palawan State University (PSU) Singers, PSU Children’s Choir, Catholic Youth Movement (CYM) Choir at Jordan River Choir).

Nagtanghal din ang iba’t-ibang grupo ng mananayaw. Kasama dito ang Palawan Dance Ensemble, Puerto Princesa City Banwa Dance and Arts, Palawan State University (PSU) Sining Palawan Dance Troupe, Palawan Polytchecnic College Inc (PPCI) Perlas ng Silanganan Dance Troupe, San Pedro Central School (SPCS) – Batang Palaweno Dance at ang Taytay Heritage Culture and Arts na mula pa sa munisipyo ng Taytay.

Ipinakita naman ng mga bagong sibol na mga artist ng Palawan ang kanilang mga obra sa kanilang Arts Exhibit. Itinampok ang mga makukulay na obra ng Guhit Pinas-Palawan, Palawan Visual Artist, Draw me your Heart Club mula sa bayan ng Cuyo, Shinkin Beguinia, Gabay Guhit ng Brooke’s Point at si Jaymar Dela Cruz na isang pintor na may kapansanang mula naman sa bayan ng Quezon.

Nagsimula ang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Sining noong Sabado, Pebrero 2, kung saan nagpakitang gilas ang mga nabanggit na grupo sa buong buwan ng Pebrero tuwing 7:00 ng gabi, araw ng Biyernes at Sabado sa Bulwagan ng Puerto Princesa Coliseum.
