A Muslim Affairs Office would soon be established at the Palawan Provincial Capitol to address concerns from the local Islamic community.
This came after the recent approval of the resolution passed by Board Member Al-Nashier M. Ibba, who wants to preserve the cultural heritage of Palawan Muslims, and by opening up the Office of Muslim Affairs it is hoped it can quickly cater to the social, economic, cultural, and educational needs of the local muslims.
Ibba added that the measure is essential for the growing number of Muslim communities in the province particularly in the towns of Brooke’s Point, Bataraza, Balabac, Sofronio Española and other areas in Palawan.
