Tigerair’s new Taiwan – Puerto Princesa flight lands in Palawan

With 180 passengers on board, Tigeair Taiwan’s Taipei to Puerto Princesa maiden flight touched down on Puerto Princesa International Airport’s (PPIA) tarmac 4:00 PM, Friday, June 7.

Tigerair Taiwan’s Airbus 1320 with flight number IT-545 was welcomed with the traditional water salute using the airport’s crash tenders. The plane flew back to Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei at 5:00 PM.

Tigerair Taiwan will fly to PPIA from Taipei and vice versa three times a week with flights on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Aside from Puerto Princesa, Tigerair Taiwan also flies to Cebu and Aklan through the Mactan Cebu International Airport and Kalibo International Airport, respectively, from Taiwan.

With this maiden flight of Tigerair Taiwan, the airline now lands on 25 different airports all over Southeast Asia.

Flying from three airports in Taiwan—Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Taichung International Airport, Kaohsiung International Airport—-the airline flies to other countries including Thailand, China, South Korea and Japan.

Its flights to Thailand land on Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok while its China flight touches down on the Special Administrative Region of Macau through its Macau International Airport.

The airline lands on three South Korean airports, which are: Gimhae International Airport, Daegu International Airport, and Jeju International Airport.

The bulk of the Tigerair Taiwan flight routes are scattered all over Japan with 14 flights to Asahikawa Airport, Fukuoka Airport, Hakodate Airport, Hanamaki Airport, Haneda International Airport, Saga Airport, Ibaraki Hyakuri Airport, Kansai International Airport, Komatsu Airport, Chubu Centrair International Airport, Narita International Airport, Okinawa Naha International Airport, Okayama Momotaro Airport, and Sendai Airport.
