San Vicente Airport welcomed the first flight of Philippine Airlines on October 28, 2018 from Clark International Airport, Pampanga. Mr. Joel E. Paderes, Branch Manager of Philippine Airlines Puerto Princesa , said San Vicente should expect tourists from northern and central Luzon.
“We will be expecting tourists from northern and central Luzon to El Nido, Port Barton. Inaasahan namin na passengers, this will cut the travel time from Puerto Princesa to El Nido for about two hours.” He said.
He added it will also provide employment to the town. “Our staff here right now except for the supervisor are all locally hired. Nakatulong tayo sa San Vicente with 40 local hires,” he said.
PAL Express caters five weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday). And will increase to daily flights by December 18, 2018 and will utilize the 86-seater Bombardier Next-Generation Q400 turboprop aircraft which is fitted with six Economy Plus premium seats and 80 roomy Economy Class regular seats
