The Department of Health – MIMAROPA on Monday, April 27 said that two of its health workers have contracted COVID-19.
“Ngayong araw, kami ay nakatanggap ng isang malungkot na balita. Dalawa sa ating health workers sa rehiyon ang nag-positibo sa COVID-19,” Baquilod said in a statement.
The official also reiterated the importance of being truthful on health care workers on giving information and asked the public to cooperate because it may endanger their life.
“Hinihikayat naming ang lahat na makipagtulungan sa ating mga health care workers at maging matapat sa pagbibigay ng impormasyon. Sa hindi natin pagiging matapat, maaaring malagay ang buhay nila sa panganib,” he insisted to the public.
Baquilod said that the numbers in MIMAROPA is continuously increasing and the only way we can stop the spread of the virus is to stay at home and follow the health reminders given by authorities.
“Sa patuloy na pagtaas ng bilang ng kaso sa ating rehiyon, huwag natin hayaang mangibabaw ang pangamba. Manatili sa mga tahanan, sumunod sa mga patakarang ipinatutupad ng lokal na pamahalaan, gawin ang mga preventive measures at magdasal. Tanging pagsunod at lubos na pagtutulungan natin ang syang susi para tuluyang mawawakasan ang laban kontra COVID-19,” added Baquilod.
As of 3:00 pm of April 27, DOH – CHD MIMAROPA announced two new confirmed cases of COVID-19. A 26-year old female from Oriental Mindoro and a 35-year old female from Occidental Mindoro, both with no travel history.
Meanwhile, it also announced two new recoveries in the region from COVID-19.
