Petrosphere BOSH SO2 trainees conduct site inspection in Apex Oretrans

As part of the recently conducted Basic Occupational Safety and Health for Safety Officer 2 Training (BOSH SO2) in Barangay Rio Tuba, Bataraza, Palawan, a site inspection by the trainees was held in the compound of Apex Oretrans Corporation.

 

The inspection was participated by 29 Petrosphere trainees to identify existing and potential hazards and risks, and formulated recommendations to control and mitigate these hazards and risks last week, October 13.

 

Mr. Joey Michael Cuanan, the Head Safety Officer of Apex Oretrans Corp. emphasized their company’s unquestionable compliance to safety standards and the role of safety practitioner, as well, quoting safety as the top priority.

 

He also added that the company conducts safety activities such as daily fire drills, toolbox meetings, and weekly exercises, and even attended the required first-aid training; thus, continues to have a zero-fatality record.

When Mr. Arturo Serraon Jr., Apex Oretrans Corp. Branch Manager was asked how he sees trainees attending safety training, “I’m glad to see how young people are stepping up when it comes to safety; they take initiative on safety without being told to do so; it makes a difference when people own things.”

 

One of the trainees also thanked Petrosphere, and the staff, and commended the company for giving the best training at a very affordable price and further praised the talent of the local speakers who delivered the training exceptionally.
