The luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Conde Nast Traveller hails the Hidden Beach in El Nido as rank 20 in the 30 Top beaches in the world. It is the only Philippine beach that made the said list, making Benguerra Island in Mozambique in the number 1 spot.
The magazine wrote “It’s not quite so hidden any more, but this beach still makes its mark as one of the world’s best. Palawan is filled with pristinely beautiful spots but Hidden Beach – surrounded by imposing limestone cliffs and with startlingly bone-white sand – is separated from the turquoise ocean by a small keyhole-like opening, through which visitors must climb in order to access the lagoon”.
The Department of Tourism earlier this week applauded the inclusion of El Nido, saying it was a light during this pandemic and a great help in keeping Philippines in the bucket list of travelers all over the world.
Palawan is not new in Conde Nast Traveller listing, in 2019 they Palawan ranked number 4 in the 30 best islands as voted by its readers.
