Tara Na, Biyahe Tayo Song

(Ikaw ba’y nalulungkot, naiinip, nababagot? Ikaw ba’y napapagod, araw gabi’y puro kayod? Buhay mo ba’y walang saysay, walang sigla, walang kulay? Bawa’t araw ba’y pareho, parang walang pagbabago?

Narration: From city to city, Seven thousand and a hundred plus islas Sa mahal kong Pilipinas, Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao ating puntahan.

Halika, biyahe tayo… )

This song inspired me a lot because of my passion for travel and tourism. Since tourism is my great passion, I really would love to be part of a team whose passion is the same as mine. Or maybe an environment where I believe, I will make a difference as an individual or a team.

By the way, when family and friends come to visit your place, where do you like to take them?

To look back, Tara Na, Biyahe Tayo started as a travel and tourism radio program almost eight years ago in one of the local radio stations in Palawan. This was personally conceptualized out of passion for travel and tourism. This radio program concept focuses more on being informative and a magazine type wherein it aims to promote Philippine’s tourist destinations but most especially to extensively promote Palawan’s tourist attractions while continuously discovering other possible tourist areas in every municipality. Likewise, to encourage every local community to practice and promote sustainable tourism in their area.

Moreover, just like in the song, this concept aims to focus on historico-cultural, adventure, ecotourism, and other related nature destinations. It also intends to give you the latest updates on sustainable tourism developments in the region especially in Palawan as well as new trends and branding in the local tourism industry. It will also introduce tourism risk management topics, inclusive tourism and to give emphasis on the importance of community-based sustainable tourism (CBST) in the province through interviews from tourism enthusiasts and experts.

Tara Na, Biyahe Tayo will not only take you to familiar places where you may have been but will introduce new possible tourist attractions in every municipality in the province or in the region. Likewise, we will feature tourist accommodations duly accredited by the Department of Tourism, tourist guides, tourist van operators and related tourism stakeholders. This is a participatory approach where we listen to the voice of the locals and tourists as well.

This is also committed to uphold sustainable tourism development and CBST projects that create a positive impact and wonderful experience for local people, local businesses and tourists.

So, come and join me in my passion for travel and tourism while learning and preserving the different kinds of culture in the country especially the intangible cultural heritage, protecting the environment, safeguarding the community and most of all embracing God’s work of art.
