With the continuous vaccination program in Puerto Princesa, the city logged 34% fully vaccinated out of the 201,000 population as of October 26, 2021.
According to the Vaccination Tracker data, 89,899 people have received vaccines of which 67,590 or 34% are now fully inoculated while 11% or 22, 309 are awaiting their second jabs.
The city is short of about 111,000 vaccinees or 55% of the eligible population to receive jabs against COVID-19.
Recently, the World Health Organization (WHO) stated that the most unvaccinated demographic are from the elderly population. It also urged the government to focus on inoculating adults along with the general population.
Meanwhile, the national government has administered 57,774,753 doses throughout the country of which 30,594,084 are the first dose while 26,180,669 are second doses and single-dose vaccines as of October 26.
