CITY GOVERNMENT, PHILIPPINE RED CROSS SIGN ZERO PROCESSING FEE FOR BLOOD DONATION

The city government of Puerto Princesa signed a Memorandum Of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Red Cross for zero replacement fee on blood donation from clients as it allotted P4.8 million for the organization.

This was announced by city councilor Nancy Socrates during a press conference as she stated that there will be no processing fees for blood donation.

“Tayo po ay lubos na nagpapasalamat sa ating city mayor dahil last week ay bumalik na po ang Memorandum Of Agreement between city government and Philippine Red Cross kung saan ay babayaran ng lungsod ng Puerto Princesa ang processing fee para sa dugo.

So, napakalaking tulong po ito,” Socrates said. She added that the Philippine Red Cross only asked for P1.5M budget from the city government yet Mayor Bayron tripled it with a P4.8M budget. She also said that the city government sees the project as one of the biggest ways to help Puerto Princesa, which is through zero processing fee on blood donations. “Nakita po ni Mayor na this is where we can really help our fellow Puerto Princesans. Ginawa po ni Mayor na P4.8M ang budget,” she stated.
