Mini city hall in Luzviminda expected to open next year

The mini city hall project in Barangay Luzviminda, among the priority projects of the City Government of Puerto Princesa under the administration of Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron is expected to open within one year or less.

Last Wednesday, August 12, 2020, the City Officials and barangay officials led the mini-city hall’s groundbreaking, which will bring the government basic services closer to the constituents, when it will start to operate.

Rolando Amurao, former city councilor and tasked by Mayor Bayron to manage and supervise the operations of mini city hall in Luzviminda, said that one year from now or even earlier, the facility will be open to serve people in six barangays of Luzviminda, Mangingisda, Sta. Lucia, Inagawan, Inagawan-Sub and Kamuning.

He said that aside from the mini-city hall contracted to a construction firm, a portion of road near the facility will also be concreted which will be implemented by the City Engineering Office, or by administration.

The mini city hall will be equipped with government vehicles which will help facilitate them in the delivery of local government services. Amurao explained that all matters that can be resolved at the level in the mini city hall, they will resolve it there.

He further said that Mayor Bayron’s initiatives of opening mini halls in strategic clustered barangays significantly helped ordinary people and residents of far-flung and interior barangays. Therefore, it will be more convenient for them to transact at the City Government, without necessarily going to the City Hall.
