Palawan frontliners receive PPE from Red Cross

The Philippine Red Cross-Palawan Chapter donated 23 units of replicated Protective Suit to MMG-COOP Hospital, and 22 units to Ospital ng Palawan recently thru Palawan Medical Medical Society as support to frontliners.

The locally manufactured suit is made from water resistant fabric-tafetta with silver coat is created by Moto in Can artist JC Enon, that according to him is base from various design provided by the office of Vice President Leni Robredo, with inputs from Dr. Perla Palao and was evaluated and approved by the officers and members of Palawan Medical Society.

RED Cross Palawan OIC Agnes Tabinga said that they are producing this kind of suit as alternative Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is very vital in this kind of crisis, they target to produce 140 suits weekly depending on the availability of materials.

“Our production depends on the resources we got from our local partners, that number we got from Palawan Medical Society based sa needs nila,” Tabinga said.

The suit can be recycled depends on the end user as long as it was properly disinfect to avoid any contamination from COVID-19.
