Puerto Princesa on Tuesday received 30,000 face masks from Wuxi City in the province of Jiangsu, China.
City Information Officer (CIO) Richard Ligad told Palawan Daily News (PDN) Tuesday that Wuxi is a sister city of Puerto Princesa.
Ligad said these face masks will be of great help to the city frontliners.
CIO Ligad further stated these face masks from Puerto Princesa’s sister city were delivered by a cargo forwarder June 2.
Cambridge Dictionary defines “sister city” as “a town or city that shares planned activities and visits with a similar town in another country”.
Ligad added Wuxi City became a sister city of Puerto Princesa during a visit of Mayor Lucilo Bayron to China.
