Residents of thirteen (13) rural barangays in Puerto Princesa City once again experienced the government’s commitment to service as the “Ugnayan sa Barangay” initiative returned for the second quarter of 2024.
From May 9 to 11, various government offices and private companies conducted outreach activities to address the needs of the communities.
The City Agriculture Office distributed free fruit seedlings and vegetable seeds, while the City Assessor’s Office provided free consultations on land matters, property assessment, and BIR taxes. Meanwhile, the City Health Office provided free medical and dental services, while the City Veterinary Office offered free consultations, spaying and neutering services, and anti-rabies vaccinations for pets. Additionally, the Office of the City Civil Registrar assisted with the processing of important documents such as birth certificates, CENOMAR, and death certificates.
Mayor Lucilo Bayron encouraged residents to take advantage of the services offered during the program to alleviate the need to travel to the city or incur additional expenses.
The event also saw the participation of various government offices, uniformed personnel, and Bong Villanueva Salon, which provided entertainment and showcased special talents.
The “Ugnayan sa Barangay” initiative kicked off its tour in barangays Maruyugon, Manalo, Salvacion, Bahile, Cabayugan, Tagabinet, Buenavista, Macarascas, Sta. Cruz, Bacungan, Simpocan, Bagong Bayan, and Napsan, with plans to visit more barangays from May 14 to 16.
