As I sat down in my gaming chair, sometimes I pondered a prophetic word from a youth pastor wherein he said that God will use the youth in nation-building. I watched that way back in 2010 on a phone with a TV antenna. This year, 2021, such prophetic word still have significance for me.
The youth is the hope of this country. I believe that we are the hope of this nation. Why? I see things differently. If many people see only shortcomings, I see the youth collectively doing what is best for the country. I see young frontliners in hospitals and clinics working hard 24/7 just to alleviate suffering caused by COVID. I see young policemen who wanted to redeem the image of the police. I see soldiers wanting to defend what is right. I see young teachers preparing modules and lectures to serve as the light in such a dark time. Truly, the youth is the hope of this nation.
The youth is the blessing of God. He blessed this country with many bright minds. I think, there is a need to change our bad perspective about ourselves. We need to appreciate our generation despite of the toxic things people say and do online. I want each one of us to smile and see the moonlight in this cold night. I want to give us a reason to rejoice as a part of the youth. Truly, the youth is the blessing of God in this Pandemic.
