Ex-NPA members burn red flag; tag partylist groups as legal communist fronts

Former New People’s Army members burned a CPP-NPA-NDF flag calling for peace and to end the armed conflict in line with the NPA’s 53rd Anniversary during the activity called Prayer for Peace.

Kapatiran ng mga dating Rebelde (KADRE) Palawan president Jerwin Castigador condemned the activities of CPP-NPA-NDF Saying, “Kaugnay sa aming panawagan na tahasang pagtatakwil at paglaban sa 53 taon terrorismo ng CPP-NPA-NDF.”

Castigador also tagged partylist groups as legal fronts which receive funding from the government but want to bring it down.

The group also gave tribute to the fallen soldiers and former friends and family who died in the armed conflict by lighting a candle and a moment of silence.
