In a coordinated operation last May 15, Puerto Princesa City Police Station 1 successfully apprehended a wanted man from Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay San Miguel. The suspect, whose identity has been withheld pending legal proceedings, was arrested in the late afternoon around 5:00 p.m.
According to the police report, the individual is a resident of the area and is of legal age. He is facing charges for Qualified Theft under Article 310 of the Revised Penal Code, a serious offense that carries significant penalties upon conviction.
The arrest was executed through a joint effort led by the tracker team of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), in cooperation with the personnel from Police Station 1 and the Regional Intelligence Unit 4B-Palawan. The operation was carried out based on a Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Anna Leah Y. Tiongson, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 164, located in Roxas, Palawan.
Currently, the suspect remains in police custody as authorities prepare for the next stages of legal proceedings.
