Megaworld bolsters township portfolio in Palawan; Pioneers Ph’s first well-registered residential property

Santé Residences Palawan in Paragua Coastown, San Vicente

MANILA, Philippines, February 9, 2026 – Property giant Megaworld is ramping up its developments in Palawan as it introduces a new residential concept within its 462-hectare ecotourism community Paragua Coastown in San Vicente.

Rising near the lush mountains surrounding the township, the 14-story Santé Residences Palawan—Megaworld’s third residential development in Paragua Coastown—is envisioned to be the first WELL-registered residential property in the Philippines. The development is designed to adhere with the WELL Residential certification standards, a prestigious, globally recognized benchmark for designing and operating developments that put a premium on wellness implemented across ten key concepts. These categories include air quality, water, nourishment, light, movement, thermal comfort, sound, materials, mind, and community.

“We are excited to pioneer this new residential concept in the country through Santé Residences Palawan at Paragua Coastown. We designed this development to be a sanctuary that goes beyond aesthetics by integrating elements of nature and the science of living well in every space. Being the first to pursue WELL Residential Certification in the country, our vision is to offer a home for the future residents of Santé Residences Palawan nestled in the world’s best island within an environment that nourishes the mind and body,” says Javier Romeo Abustan, head of sales and marketing, Megaworld Palawan.

Wellness inspired by nature’s design

The design of the façade of Santé Residences Palawan takes a cue from the idea of unbounded tropical expanse. This is best interpreted in the angled balcony pods of the development that are oriented to provide coastal and mountain views to all units, allowing future residents to appreciate the natural beauty of Palawan’s rich landscape.

On the second level amenity deck, Santé Residences Palawan will feature several curated wellness facilities that are uniquely part of its health-centric design. These include the Verve Studio, a dedicated fitness hub equipped with cutting-edge machines to help individuals enhance their athletic capabilities. There’s also a Halotherapy Center, a specialized wellness space where people can immerse to improve respiratory health, skin conditions, and overall stress levels. To balance the body with the mind, the Quiet Lounge provides a serene escape for peaceful reconnection to help dwellers achieve a deeper sense of calm and tranquility.

Outside, there will be a Hydro-kinetics Pool, featuring different types of hydrotherapy methods designed to soothe muscles and improve body circulation. A dedicated space called Santé Botanique Garden will offer residents fresh, sustainably grown produce that promotes healthy, mindful diet. Finding focus and relaxation will also be convenient at the outdoor meditation space to help residents cultivate an overall sense of calm.

Other amenities featured at the second level include a function room, a dedicated co-working space, daycare center, fitness center, game room, infinity lap pool, kiddie pool, outdoor playground, and an outdoor lounge. Residents will also be able to enjoy WiFi access throughout the entire amenity area.

Santé Residences Palawan will offer a total of 460 units in varying layout types and sizes, ranging from Studio (up to 32.50 square meters), One-Bedroom (up to 81.50 square meters), One-Bedroom bi-level (up to 107.50 square meters), Two-Bedroom (up to 120 square meters), Two-Bedroom bi-level (up to 146 square meters), Three-Bedroom (up to 138.50 square meters), and Three-Bedroom bi-level (up to 179.50 square meters). All units will feature their own balconies that offer panoramic views of the Pagdanan Bay, the sprawling township landscape, and the nearby forests.

Innovation and sustainability in focus

All units at Santé Residences Palawan will feature wireless smart home systems that can be accessed remotely using a dedicated phone app. This will allow residents to control their living environment remotely, including lighting and smart appliances across the living, kitchen, dining, and bedroom areas.

A variety of green and sustainability features will also be integrated into Santé Residences Palawan. These include low flow rate fixtures at toilet and kitchen areas to promote water conservation, occupancy sensors in hallways that help conserve energy, equipment with high energy-efficiency rating, rainwater harvesting system, and its own materials recovery facility. Several slots at the basement and ground floor parking area will also be EV-ready.

Santé Residences Palawan is the latest residential development by Megaworld in Paragua Coastown, following Paragua Beach Village and Oceanfront Premier Residences. Megaworld expects to generate around P6.5 billion in sales from Santé Residences Palawan, which is scheduled for completion by 2031.

San Vicente: Palawan’s next big tourist destination

Aside from residential developments, a pair of 11-story Megaworld hotels are now under construction in Paragua Coastown. These are Savoy Hotel Palawan and Paragua Sands Hotel, which will offer a combined 617 hotel room keys that will help further boost tourism in the locality. These developments are vital to the continued emergence of San Vicente as the next big tourist destination in Palawan.

As Megaworld continues to scale its ecotourism community complete with world-class hospitality facilities—including its own shophouse and boutique hotel districts—Paragua Coastown is expected to provide a huge boost to tourism in San Vicente, Palawan, a town known for the 15-kilometer Long Beach, the longest stretch of white-sand beach in the Philippines
