A businessman and a private employee in the town of Roxas were arrested with two heat-sealed sachets of alleged “shabu” in a buy-bust operation Wednesday, August 22.
The businessman was identified as Crisanto Cortez Albano Jr, and the private employee was Mark Anthony Caabay Villareal.
The suspects allegedly attempted to bribe the officials on duty by offering P37,000 in exchange of their liberty.
The Roxas Municipal Police Station (MPS), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU)- Palawan and 401st B RMFb Mimaropa jointly conducted the operation: Currently, the suspects are under the custody of the local police and will face criminal charges for violating RA 9165 or the “Comprehensive Drug Act.”
