Coral Bay Nickel Corporation (CBNC) highlighted its key projects and contributions to host communities during the official opening of exhibits at the Mining Engineers’ Convention (MinECon) 2026, held on June 9 at Costa Palawan Resort in Puerto Princesa City.
As part of the convention’s opening activities, participating mining companies and industry service providers mounted exhibits showcasing their initiatives, innovations, and commitment to responsible mineral development.
During the exhibit tour, CBNC MEPEO Head Engr. Jeb B. Badlon presented an overview of the company’s operations and highlighted its various programs and contributions to host communities throughout its 21 years of operation in Barangay Rio Tuba, Bataraza, Palawan.
The exhibit’s presentation was attended by Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) – Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) MIMAROPA, including Regional Director Engr. Felizardo Gacad Jr., along with Puerto Princesa City Administrator Atty. Arnel Pedrosa.
MinECon 2026, themed “Engineering the Future: Sustainable Minerals for a Resilient Nation,” brings together mining professionals, industry experts, government representatives, and stakeholders from across the country. The four-day convention, running from June 9 to 12, features exhibits, technical presentations, and discussions on emerging innovations, industry developments, and key issues affecting the mining sector.
