Luzviminda L. Bautista emerges victorious as Palawan’s Provincial SK Federation President

SK Chairperson Luzviminda L. Bautista, hailing from the town of Rizal, clinches the position of Provincial SK Federation President in Palawan, securing a total of 21 votes.
The recently concluded Panlalawigang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan Orientation and Election was held on Tuesday, November 28, at the VJR Hall within the provincial capitol.
Simultaneously, Junnel M. Banotan of Busuanga assumes the position of Vice President, while Bryan Nelcon C. Guarin from Agutaya serves as Secretary. Sammer Mocti Madsali from Bataraza takes on the role of Treasurer, Tea Joy C. Borbon from San Vicente assumes the position of Auditor, and Nyan Mae F. Abon of Dumaran, along with Mike B. Marcelo, Jr. of Quezon, undertook the responsibilities of PRO. Patrick Kenneth M. Gacayan from Coron and Jayson Rey M. Sespeñe from Brooke’s Point is appointed as Sergeant-at-Arms.
As part of the transition, Bautista will assume the ex-officio position in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, succeeding outgoing SK Federation President Anyatika R. Rodriguez.
The successful execution of the election process was overseen by the Board of Election Supervisors, composed of Provincial Director Virgilio L. Tagle, Ferdinand Bermejo from COMELEC, and Sangguniang Panlalawigan Secretary Angela Peña. Serving as the Panel of Observers were PLTCOL Lawrence Bataller of the PNP, Roger Garinga representing Civil Society Organizations (CSO), and Dr. Dennis M. Lucas, Sr. of Palawan National School. Board Member Juan Antonio E. Alvarez also attended the event, showing support and interest in the youth leadership transition.
Governor V. Dennis Socrates, on the other hand, encouraged the officials to serve with dedication and integrity for the benefit of the youth across the province.
In his address, Governor Socrates highlighted the necessary role of SK leaders in shaping the future and urged them to be proactive in addressing the needs of the youth.
