The 121st Civil Service Month will be celebrated this September with the theme “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant Heroes” to pay tribute to government employees.
The celebration will begin today, September 1, with an online mass at the Victoriano J. Rodriguez Hall of the Provincial Capitol building followed by a short program led by Governor Jose Chavez Alvarez. And then, a tree-planting ceremony called “Service Tree” and online Zumba for Capitol employees.
According to Provincial Human Resource Management Officer Lucy V. Paredes, the celebration is a way to give value to government employees who are in full swing of providing services to the people despite the pandemic.
“Ang Civil Service Month ay sini-celebrate natin kasi pinapahalagahan nito yung mga empleyado, kasi for the whole year trabaho nang trabaho. Kaya ito ay para mabigyan ng oportunidad na mag-relax, mag-enjoy…,” Paredes said.
Meanwhile, some of the expected activities included in the month-long celebration are the “Human Resource Development, Health & Wellness Week” which will include discussions regarding the mental health of employees, Devotion Week – PPGEA Gift Giving Activity, and Thanksgiving Week which will include the virtual awarding of loyalty medals and giving tribute to retired employees this 2021.
