The Palawan Provincial Peace, Law Enforcement and Development Support (P2PLEDS) Cluster of the Palawan Task Force to End Local Communists Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) recently reviewed its action plan against the communist terrorist group (CTG) for coordinated action.
In an information shared to Palawan Daily News by 3rd Marine Brigade Spokesperson, Cpt. Orchie Bobis, she said that the members of PLEDS Cluster had met last Thursday, May 21 at Brigade’s Headquarters in Marine Base Rodolfo Punsalang in Bgy. Tiniguiban and re-examined its action plan against the “Kilusang Larangang Guerilla (KLG)” in the Province of Palawan.
The commander of the 3rd MBde, BGen. Nestor C. Herico, facilitated the said activity which planned and presented the action plans of the law enforcement agencies in order to check if their strategies are still necessary and timely, especially during this time of crisis due to COVID-19.
“Kailangan nagkakaunawaan tayo sa mga ikinikilos natin at sa mga capabilities na kayang gawin ng partners natin kasi mas napadadali at napagagaan natin ang trabaho ng bawat isa. Hindi lang ‘yon, ‘yung maliliit na effort ng bawat isa sa atin ay malaki ang maiaambag sa pag-accomplish natin ng mission natin, which is to dismantle [the] KLG Palawan,” BGen. Herico said in a statement.
PLEDS co-chaiman, BGen. Herico, also pointed out that it is important to check the progress of the action plans to ensure they are synchronized in achieving their goals in ending the armed conflict in province. Meanwhile, the attendees of the said event were the official heads of Coast Guard District Palawan (CGDP), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO), and the Palawan Provincial Police Office (PPO).
