Seventeen lovely jail officers from around the country competed for one crown yesterday at the University of the Philippines Film Institute – Cine Adarna in Diliman, Quezon City, where Jail Officer 1 Kristelle B. Guttierez of BJMP-MIMAROPA was crowned Ms. BJMP 2018.
“The search for Ms. BJMP is a prestigious competition for female BJMP personnel who encapsulate the outer and as well as the inner beauty of a true, elegant and empowered woman. This competition highlights the beauty of the face, body and mind.” Jail Chief Superintendent Paulino H Moreno Jr, Chairperson, Technical Working Committee on BJMP’s 27TH Anniversary.
Kristelle B. Guttierez, 27, outshone other candidates with her beauty, wit, strong personality and her advocacy to strengthen BJMP’s public information campaign through social media and product development.
Guttierez is assigned at BJMP-MIMAROPA Regional Office with various office designations because of her talent and commitment to jail service.
First runner up was J01 Karen Ann V. Tayao of Region III, while the second runner-up was J01 Jessa Marie A. Superal from BJMP-Region VI, followed by Region VIII’s J01 Marie Fe L. Alconaba as 3rd runner-up and J01 Chakii S. Sanchez of Region 12 as 4th runner-up.
Guttierez also won the Ms. Luzon title, Best in BJMP Uniform and Best in Talent.
Special Awards such as Ms. Visayas was given to J01 Marie Fe L. Alconaba of BJMPRO-VIII while J01 Kathleen R. Carreon of BJMPRO-IX bagged the Ms. Mindanao and Ms. Congeniality titles.
While J01 Larissa Claire M. Munsayac from Region IV-A was adjudged Ms. Photogenic, Best in Evening Gown and Best in National Costume.
“The Search for Ms. BJMP is one of the significant events that brings the BJMP together as an agency to celebrate a constellation of empowered women. This event reminds us the important role of women in the jail service and in nation building.” Chief BJMP, Jail Director Deogracias C. Tapayan mentioned.
The goal of this competition is to empower women by providing them a platform to share their thoughts on social issues and build their confidence.
