The annual early registration for incoming Kindergarten, Grade 1, 7 and 11 learners will start on January 26, Saturday and will end on February 27, the Department of Education (DepEd) announced during the “Kapihan sa Philippine Information Agency (PIA)” on January 24.
DepEd Palawan information Officer Grace Estefano explained that the purpose of early registration for the school year of 2019-2020 is to ensure the “school-aged children” are registered as well as to identify out-of-school children and out-of-school youth and to foresee the possible concerns in the opening of classes.
‘’Malalaman po natin yung eni-expect nating learners lalo na sa kinder, at grade 1, grade 7 at grade 11. Para ang DepEd merong syang titingnan kung kailangan natin magdagdag ng class room, kulang ba ang upuaan… at kung kulang ang classroom baka kailangan natin na magtayo ng temporary learning structure, kung baga yun yung preparation para hindi na tayo katulad noon na nangangapa kung sa ilalaim ng puno, sa stage o kung saan pa man,” Estefano.
During the early registration, no registration fee or any payment collection is allowed. DepEd Order No. 3 series of 2018 policies regarding registration of learners.
Those who will partake in the early registration, according to DepEd Order No 3 series of 2018. Basic Education Policy in Eligibility and documentary requirements- all learners must be accepted in basic education, all public and private schools, and SUC’s and LUC’s offering basic education programs shall adhere to the existing rules that govern the minimum eligibility and documentaries for enrollment in order to established the identity of the learners.
Those who will not be able to pass the requirements during Early registration, they will be given until August 31st of the school year to comply.
Regarding the transferees from public and private schools, “Yung magtatransfer tatangagapin po yan as long as kasama rin sila, dala dala nila yung form SF9 yun yung tinatawag dati na report card ngayong kung wala ang tawag dyan tempory enrolled sila. dapat bago mag August 31 dapat maibigay nila yung kanilang report card and then to follow na yung ibang permanent records, ang importante mayroon syang report card kasi makikita dito na ito yung last school year attended at kung pasado sya o hindi.’’
DepEd will still welcome enrolees during the opening of classes however, the advantage of early registered students will just come on school and see their respective names in classrooms.
