The much-anticipated filming of Inspire Studios’ movie titled “Freedom Fighters” starring Sen. Manny Pacquiao, Cesar Montano and some Hollywood A-List stars in Puerto Princesa will be moved to June this year as the script is still being finalized.

They were supposed to start grinding this March or April in Brgy. Sta Monica in Puerto Princesa, Iloilo City and Australia. But with its new schedule it might change depending on the weather since they are anticipating June will be a rainy time.

Inspire Studios General Manager Mitch Gimena said that the production is strictly following high caliber Hollywood standards, and script was being revised over and over to meet all the requirements intended to be noticed by Oscar Academy award.

“We will shoot this year for sure, the script is still being examined and finalized thoroughly to meet Hollywood standard creativity, so we can be sure it will capture the world’s eyes and emotions,” Gimena said.

The other Filipino and foreign cast including its director will be named soon.

“Freedom Fighter” is the first of the trilogy that Inspire Studios is planning to produce. The other is “Palawan: The Last Man Out” inspired by Plaza Cuartel events during World War II, and the last part is “Open Doors” that will tell about the Jewish immigrants in Manila also in WWII.

With the change of shooting schedule, Gimena is still not sure if they can still meet the target theater release of “Freedom Fighter” by December 2020, which needs to be discussed by the producer and its group of movie consultant

Inspire studios is a start-up global company, and in the Philippines it is based here in Puerto Princesa, run by Filipino-Chinese businessman Francis Lara-Ho, an Iloilo native, married to Palaweña Janelle Yo.
