Clem Owen Ecayan, an 18-year-old college student from Bgy. Sibaltan, El Nido, Palawan, went viral yesterday after being featured by a national media agency for his miniature musical instruments.
In an interview with Palawan Daily, Ecayan shared that he started making art when he was in Grade 9, and he made his first miniature art in November 2019 when he was in Grade 12.
Aside from making miniature art pieces, Ecayan also creates paintings, scketches, sculptures, and leaf art.
“Mayroon din po kasi ako talagang goal para sa sarili ko: gusto kong masubukan gumawa ng different kinds of art,” he added.
Ecayan is currently a first year BS Criminology student in Western Philippine University. Although his school work now takes up most of his days, Ecayan still finds time to make art.
For aspiring artists and those who want to start making art, his advice is, “I-continue lang nila ‘yung hilig nila sa art.
